The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired forward Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons. The Blazers traded their 2025 1st via Milwaukee (the pick the Blazers netted after the Pelicans 2022 1st rounder didn’t convey), a swap of 2022 2nd round picks (the 36th pick for the 46th pick, two future 2nds (2025 and 2026 best of picks between Blazers and Pelicans), as well as Portland’s $21 million trade exception.

Grant is entering the final year of his contract and will be eligible for a contract extension in January, up to 4 years $112 million. The Blazers will have time to see how he fits next to Damian Lillard before making any decisions.

Jerami Grant was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 39th pick in the 2014 draft. He has played nine seasons in the NBA, averaging 20.9 points a game for the Pistons.
