The Portland Trail Blazers have hired Ameer Bahhur as the next coach of their G-League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. Bahhur previously was an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic for the past two seasons under head coach Jamahl Mosley.
Bahhur joined the Magic in 2021-22 as Video Coordinator. He was promoted to assistant coach I. 2022. Prior to his time with Orlando, he spent time as an assistant with the Rio Grande Vipers, the G-League affiliate of the Rockets.
He replaces Jonah Herscu, who left to join Tiago Splitter’s staff in Chicago.
