The Portland Trail Blazers have signed Trendon Watford the 6’9 forward out of LSU to a 2-way contract for the 2021-22 NBA season. Watford spent two seasons at LSU averaging 14.9 points and 7.4 rebounds. Ge went undrafted and the Blazers immediately picked him up. He was an elite recruit out of high school and was an All – American with McDonald’s and Team Jordan his senior year. Offensively, Watford is a natural around the basket. He is versatile in his shooting, but needs to work on his jumper and his three. He did improve to 31% shooting from deep in his sophomore year.
Watford will play for the Blazers summer league team starting August 8th vs the Charlotte Hornets.
