The Portland Trail Blazers have re-sign starting center Jusuf Nurkic to a 4 year, $70 million contract a day after the 2022 free agency began.
Nurkic started in 56 games for the Blazers last season before he sat out the last 22 games with left foot plantar fasciitis. He averaged 15 pts and 11 rebounds a game. He had a post all star break four game hit streak averaging 21 points and 14 rebounds a game.
Nurkic has been often injured, playing in only 37 games for the 2020-21 season and just 8 for the 2019-20 season after suffering a horrendous broken leg to end his best season prior.
Nurkic tweeted, home is where the heart is with home and heart symbols shortly after re-signing.
