The Portland Trail Blazers have guaranteed the near $13 million contract of guard Josh Hart for the 2022-23 NBA Season.
That leaves the Blazers at just north of $100 million in used cap space, after rookie Shaedon Sharpe’s contract is tallied.
The Salary Cap will be at $122 million for next season, with the luxury tax ceiling at $149 million. The re-signings of Anfernee Simons and Jusuf Nurkic will bring the Blazers over the cap, but they can save that for last.
Portland also has a $10.5 million non taxpayer mid-level exception and $4 million bi-annual exception at their disposal.
The Blazers can use Eric Bledsoe’s non guaranteed contract as trade currency as well.
The moratorium for free agency ends on June 30th. There is still work to be done.
