The Denver Nuggets got better this offseason by mostly staying the same. The let Isaiah Thomas who was growing cobwebs one the bench walk away. The loss of Trey Lyles and Tyler Lydon won’t sting at all. The Nuggets best move of the summer was trading a protected future 1st round pick to Oklahoma City for forward Jerami Grant who will fit seamlessly in the front court. He is a versatile player who can guard multiple positions and provide a high level of defense when Millsap is resting. He is the exact upgrade they needed. Him and another year together, might be the right ingredients.

The Nuggets also signed some younger players to develop along with their talented core. Guys like Cancar and Vanderbilt won’t see many minutes on the court, but Bol Bol might. He could make for good insurance if Jokic or Plumlee get injured. He is a talented young center who could have a bright future in the league. He fell in the draft due to health reasons. If he can stay healthy and prove himself a capable big in the NBA, Denver is a good team for him.

Denver will be in the  hunt for a championship again this year. They just extended Jamal Murray who is a rising star in the NBA.He should spend less time trying to imitate Damian Lillard, and find is own way, which we have seen he is capable of doing. He has risen quickly to become one the best point guards in the league. The Nuggets also took their option on Paul Millsap, which is not surprise. They are going to be a dominate team in the west, no if’s, ands, or buts about it.
