The Indiana Pacers lost Bojan Bogdanovic, Thaddeus Young, Wesley Matthews, and Collison that hurts. Tyreke Evans was disqualified for two years from the league because of drug use. A few other role players left as well in Kyle O’Quinn and Corey Joseph. The Pacers had holes to fill and they filled some of them. Malcolm Brogdon more than replaces Darren Collison who suddenly retired for religious reasons. Brogdon, who played back up for Milwaukee (They will miss him) deserves a starting role in the league and will get his chance with Indiana.

Jeremy Lamb and Justin Holiday take some of the sting out of losing Bogdanovic and Matthews, but not nearly all of it. Lamb can provide some of that lost offense and both he and Holiday are more than apt defenders (Holiday of course is the better defender). Still the Pacers are hurting their. They have Warren and McBuckets too, but ouch. TJ McConnell, yeah the Pacers have no shortage of TJ’s, will replace Joseph easily.

Domantas Sabonis will step in for Thaddeus Young and be more than a capable replacement. Sabonis probably needs that extra responsibility to be able to take his game to the next level. The Good news for Indiana is that star player Victor Oladipo will be back, and he paired with Myles Turner will be a beautiful thing to behold. So in ways the Pacers got better, and in ways they go worse. When it is all added and subtracted and what not, they will probably not lose much ground in the east. Though they could be down around 7th if things don’t pan out, but I think the Pacers will be ok.
